The study of addiction counseling prepares students to help people who have issues with gambling, drugs, alcohol, eating disorders and many other psychological issues. The coursework includes screening and assessment methods at the beginning of treatment, the study of the impact of the patient’s behavior on themselves, their family, and society, and how to issue treatment.
