Web-based masters programs may lower educational expenses for business students

Individuals who wish to become better qualified for high paying careers can benefit from pursuing a masters degree. As a result of advancing one's skills through this educational opportunity, some students may be faced with the challenge of paying for tuition, books, fees and other academic costs.

In an effort to make obtaining an MBA degree more affordable, some schools are launching web-based programs through their online education branches.

For example, Aspen University in Denver has announced it will now offer a masters degree in business administration, totaling $3,600 in educational expenses. This is dramatically lower than the six-figure costs of similar programs offered at Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University, according to Forbes.com.

Students who take advantage of this opportunity will pay $100 per credit hour that is required to complete the program.

David E. Lady, president of the university, stated that "making higher education available online at a reasonable price ensures it is available to as many people as possible." He added that "this helps people as individuals and aids in making this a better world."ADNFCR-3211-ID-19914131-ADNFCR
