
As careers in the business industry in and outside of the country are becoming more popular, the demand for professionals with degrees in international business will continue to rise. Earning an education that specializes in this field can benefit individuals who seek international professional success in this sector.
The University of Pennsylvania Lauder Institute recently announced it will offer a Hindu program, which will provide linguistic and cultural skills needed in order to become a successful business manager in India. This new opportunity is the ninth option now offered through the Language and Culture department, which integrates a bachelors degree in business with a masters of arts in international studies.
Students who enroll in this degree program will study the economic, political and cultural aspects in of the country, and how these trends affect the business industry in India. Individuals will also travel to several international locations, which will provide them with field experience all over the world.
This program "includes in-country immersion experiences, readings and discussions of Hindi literature, business journals and texts, and a comprehensive training in the business culture and language nuances necessary for successful integration into the Indian business community," said Kenric Tsethlikai, director of the Lauder Institute language programs.
In 2008, the average salaries of MBA degree holders ranged from $73,510 to $171,583, depending on the field, position and years of experience, according to PayScale.com, a research company.
