Schools report record numbers of graduates

Some schools have recently suggested that the number of enrollees who have completed undergraduate and graduate programs has increased, leading more students to obtain a campus-based or online degree.

For example, Ashford University recently announced that many students obtained degrees this year. Overall, more than 7,000 enrollees earned either a bachelor's or master's degree. Meanwhile, a total of 343 now have their associate's.

More than 98 percent of all of the graduates completed their respective program in an online format. Individuals who wish to enhance their educational qualifications may want to consider enrolling in similar Web-based courses, as they can enable enrollees to take classes without rearranging their daily routines.

Due to the increasing number of students at Ashford, the school now holds commencement ceremonies at three different times throughout the year.

Jane MacAuliffe, president of the school, said 3,000 more students graduated this year than in 2009, and that the 2010 class was the largest in Ashford's history.

Moreover, since 2007, the school has seen a steady increase in the number of enrollees who have obtained degrees.
