Schools expand online education opportunities for healthcare students

To keep up with the demand for healthcare professionals in today's job market, schools are making degrees in this field more accessible through online education. These opportunities allow future degree holders to earn their degrees and enter the job market sooner.

For example, the Bryant and Stratton College, an accredited online academic institution, has announced the launching of a bachelors degree in health services administration. Students who enroll in this program will be certified to work in management roles at hospitals, nursing homes and doctors' offices.

The school also announced that it will now offer four certificate programs and two associate degree programs that will benefit students who wish to pursue careers in healthcare. Individuals who have obtained associates degrees will have the option to transfer up to 90 percent of their credits toward the school's undergraduate health services administration program.

Scott Traylor, director of online education admissions at the school, stated that "a degree in healthcare is a smart investment for anyone interested in taking advantage of the career opportunities being created by the rapid growth in the healthcare industry."

The employment of medical and health services managers is expected to increase by 16 percent, and will create an estimated 45,400 new jobs, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports.ADNFCR-3211-ID-19785433-ADNFCR
