Individuals who would like to hold a management position in the restaurant industry may benefit from obtaining a degree that specializes in this field. Luckily, some schools are providing this as an option for interested students.
Aspen University is one school that has announced a partnership with the National Restaurant Association (NRA). A new online degree in restaurant management will be launched as a result.
The program will focus on the front-of-house restaurant operations as well as business administration. Mike McCallum, chief strategy officer for the NRA, says that this degree can easily fit into an individual's regular schedule and "students and restaurant workers can build strong foundations for their food service careers in our industry of opportunity."
Professionals who are already working within the restaurant industry may also benefit from this degree. Employees - and their immediate family members - who work in restaurants which are associated with the NRA, will also be eligible to receive half-off from their tuition, if they choose to enroll in this program.
Individuals who wish to become food service managers could consider similar programs that could help them land a high-paying job. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that some of these professionals can make more than $76,000 per year.
