Business students who are of different ethnic backgrounds and looking to advance their education at an affordable cost can benefit from scholarship programs that have been launched by equality organizations across the country. By taking advantage of these opportunities, future degree holders will be able to obtain skills used in fields in which they may be underrepresented.
The Asian Women in Business (AWIB) organization in New York is still looking for eligible individuals to apply for its annual scholarship program, which benefits female bachelor degree business students who are of Asian or Pacific Islander background.
Qualified applicants must be a full-time student in a business-related program offered at an accredited academic institution, and have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher during their collegiate career. Individuals must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident, according to the AWIB website.
In addition to a completed application form, students must provide a copy of their most recent academic transcript, two essay responses, 1 to 6 letters of recommendation and a list detailing their involvement in all academic and community service-related activities, the organization reports.
Association officials report that scholarship winners, who will be given $2,500 each, will be announced in November.
