The rising interest in higher education via distance learning has led to many schools to create new resources that store all the information prospective students need in one place as opposed to spending time searching through several different resources.
One example is Capella University, which recently launched the Capella Research Center, a website that consolidates all of the school's information on online education and makes it available to students, faculty and staff through one source. Doctoral students from the academic institution who are conducting research for their dissertations are expected to benefit the most from this new resource. However, faculty, dissertation mentors and other students will find the website useful as well.
As ab accredited online university "[Capella] has access to on-site interactive expertise that many universities don't," said Amy Donovan, director of research and scholarship at the university. She added that "our interactive tools and training modules are something many sites aren't able to offer."
In addition, the highest earners among those with a masters degree can earn up to $2,221 more per week compared to those who have earned a bachelors degree, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
