Students of different ethnic backgrounds who are interested in advancing their education can benefit from researching schools that provide them with the best opportunities. Many academic institutions across the country specialize in providing certain minority groups with the widest variety of degree programs taught by top faculty members.

For example, Cambridge College was recently singled out for having the most Hispanic students graduate with a masters degree than any other school in New England. A nonprofit academic institution that specializes in helping nontraditional students advance their education, Cambridge College was also ranked 47th in a top-100 poll published in The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education, which lists the schools that benefit students of that background the most.

During the 2009 academic year, a total of 148 Hispanic students made up 11.5 percent of the recipients who earned masters degrees from Cambridge College. In addition to offering flexible graduate programs, the school also provides students with the chance to earn certifications as well as bachelors and doctoral degrees.

"We serve a rich variety of students in terms of age, race and life experiences, and their dedication and success are the spirit of the Cambridge College community," said Tito Guerrero III, president of the school. He added that "this distinction highlights our mission of providing educational opportunities to working adults who may otherwise have limited access to a quality higher education."

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the highest earners among those with a masters degree can earn up to $2,221 more per week compared to those with a bachelors degree. ADNFCR-3211-ID-19839626-ADNFCR
