National Education Report highlights benefits of online education

Students who are interested in pursuing a degree through online education can benefit from researching several schools prior to enrollment. To help highlight the benefits of many academic institutions that provide distance learning opportunities, some media outlets are airing documentaries that focus on some of the top online education schools.

Ashworth College, an accredited online school, was recently featured in the Nation Education Report, a television series, for its efforts towards improving distance learning. This series produces documentaries that depict growing trends in the education sector as well as important information that benefits both students and current professionals.

Viewers heard about the advantages of online education from Ashworth students and saw one-on-one interviews with several school representatives. These individuals discussed the financial advantages of pursuing higher education through distance learning and the benefits of self-paced study.

To date, more than 3.5 million college students have taken an online course or are earning online college degrees, according to the U.S. Distance Learning Association. At the secondary school level, over 700,000 high school students are taking one or more courses online, and nearly 40 states have established state-wide or state-led virtual schools.ADNFCR-3211-ID-19796785-ADNFCR
