More programs provided to obtain a master's degree in leading industries

Schools are broadening their master's degree options so that demands within the workforce can be met. For individuals who would like to, this may be a good option.

One school that recognizes demanding industries is Webster University. The Signal reports the school recently expanded to offer a greater number of master's degrees at the Fort Gordon Army base both in the classroom and on the Web.

New subjects that will be addressed by these courses of study include human resources management or management and leadership. Both industries will continue to grow. Those within human resources management can expect a 10 percent increase in career opportunities over the next eight years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Someone within the management industry, including the business or financial fields, will see almost 36 more jobs created during that same time period.

A master's degree may be essential for working adults to also make more money and see lower unemployment rates. Careerinfonet.org reports that individuals with this type of education are more likely to keep their jobs and earn higher salaries than bachelor's degree holders.
