
Business students who wish to incorporate their love for music and entertainment into their future careers can benefit from enrolling in administrative certificate programs. Obtaining management certification allows individuals to further their education in this field of study at an affordable cost, and prepare them to work with industry professionals.
For instance, Kennesaw State University (KSU) recently announced that its a partnership between the school's College of the Arts and Coles College of Business will help launch a new certificate program specializing in entertainment and music management. KSU created this certification to benefit students looking for a business education that integrates the basic fundamentals of both the entertainment and music industries.
Joel Katz, an Atlanta-based entertainment lawyer, was among the professionals and organizations who made financial contributions to the school in order to launch this program, and help impact the school and local community.
Daniel Papp, president of the school, stated that "[the] certificate program in entertainment and music management winds up giving us the opportunity to help the Atlanta area's economic development, [and] help [educate] students for the critical growth of these industries."
During the next eight years, the wages and salaries of professionals in entertainment and music are expected to grow by 15 percent, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
