Students who are interested in a career in business, and are in need of a postsecondary program with a flexible schedule, can benefit from pursuing a hybrid degree. These educational opportunities allow future degree holders to further their studies on campus as well as through online education.
Hancock College is among the many academic institutions nationwide that are launching these options, as academic officials recently announced the school will now offer a series of hybrid bachelors and masters programs. In order to launch these new opportunities, the college has joined forces with six California-based academic institutions, according to the Santa Maria Times.
The schools will now be able to offer business administration degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and these programs will have the same curricula as those offered entirely on campus.
Pat Martin, a current MBA student, told the news source that all types of students can benefit from these programs because they can be "handled fully online, which means you can do it in your pajamas or at lunch, or you can do it in the classroom."
Students who work towards obtaining an MBA degree may become qualified for high-paying jobs, as PayScale.com, a research company, reports that the average salaries of these individuals ranged from $73,510 to $171,583 in 2008, depending on the field, position and years of experience.
