The135-credit program is split into three sections, which include forensic health issues as well as forensic health of victims and offenders. Certificate curriculum will also cover child abuse, intimate partner violence, elder abuse and sexual violence.

Individuals who take advantage of this opportunity will be trained to properly document and preserve crime scene evidence that may be used in court, the news source reports. Students will also learn how to help victims and families cope with the physical, psychological and legal components associated with forensics.
