Financial aid looks to boost female student population in business degrees

As the business field continues to grow, so does the number of prospective female students with an aim of earning a business degree. One outlet that is assisting future MBA degree holders has announced financial aid opportunities available just for women.

By iBerkshire.com, one example of financial assistance for women is funded by the Berkshire Business & Professional (BPW) organization, and it will be given to women residing in the Berkshire County of Massachusetts who are earning business degrees. Qualifying candidates can receive up to $500 to be used for tuition, books, childcare, uniforms as well as other educationally related costs. Students interested in applying must be enrolled in a program or course at a college that meets accreditation. In addition to the application form, a two-page personal statements needs to be submitted.

Having scholarships available for women in this field of study is one way to help boost the number of female students who plan to earn a MBA degree. For qualifying students, it also opens up the opportunity to be able to afford schools with more credible business programs.

PayScale.com, a research company, says that average salaries for holders of MBA degrees ranged from $73,510 to $171,583 in 2008, depending on the field, position and years of experience.ADNFCR-3211-ID-19695366-ADNFCR
