Exhibitions may promote enrollment in art programs

Individuals who are interested in earning an associates, bachelors or masters degree in fine arts may find that attending college art exhibits could inspire them to pursue higher education in this field. May schools across the country host events like these to raise interest in prospective students and display the success of their current students.

Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, will have its opening reception of the Master's of Fine Arts Exhibition on April 9, which will display several works of art by current graduate students, BGNews.com reports. Work that has been completed during the last two years will come from categories such as digital art, printmaking and glass art.

Ariana Bauman, who works for the Fine Arts Galleries, told the news source that "the event is a great way for the artists to truly show off their hard work over the past years."

In the next eight years, employment of artists is projected to increase by 12 percent, which is faster than the 10 percent expected for all other occupations, The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports.ADNFCR-3211-ID-19714049-ADNFCR
