As a result of the changing trends in the business industry on both a national and international level, academic institutions across the country are launching new degree programs to prepare students for this evolving job market.

The University of Texas (UT) Dallas is one school that is expanding its business education opportunities, as university representatives announced that UT will now offer bachelors degrees in global business, management information systems and marketing, according to the school's website.

Enrollees in the global business program will be introduced to cross-cultural communications and negotiation skills, international human resource management as well as global strategy and international marketing techniques. Students who obtain this degree will be prepared to work at U.S.-based multinational businesses or abroad.

The management information systems degree has been designed to highlight how technology supports, improves and restructures several business processes, the university's website reports.

In an effort to create the marketing program, the school partnered with more than 20 local companies to determine what skill sets and courses would effectively prepare students careers in for this field. Students who pursue this degree may find employment opportunities in advertising, promotions, analytics as well as product and brand management.

Over the next eight years, the demand for marketing managers is projected to increase by 14 percent, and approximately 73,700 new jobs will be created, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.ADNFCR-3211-ID-19900085-ADNFCR
