Obtaining a business degree can lead to employment in various fields, such as healthcare and agriculture. In order to be better qualified for these types of jobs, individuals may consider enrolling MBA degree programs that can enhance their business skills and improve their knowledge of these industries.
For example, North Carolina State University's Jenkins Graduate School of Management has launched a masters degree program that specializes in business and biological sciences. Students who enroll in this program will be prepared to work in several areas, including bio-agricultural, bio-industrial, medical devices, diagnostics or pharmaceutical fields.
Earning this degree will also equip individuals enroll in this program with the skills needed to hold managerial and administrative positions.
Steve Allen, associate dean for graduate programs and research in the NC State College of Management, stated that "the Jenkins MBA program is designed to create bio-entrepreneurial managers to meet the demands of diverse fields such as health care and agriculture."
In fact, by 2018, the employment of biological scientists is expected to increase by 21 percent, and the demand will create approximately 19,200 new jobs, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports.
